For Publishers-For Authors

Important Notice

All publishers and authors in Hungary have a legal obligation to submit deposit copies of their works to the National Széchényi Library when they are released. This obligation applies to paper books and electronic books as well. Each deposit copy has an ISBN number and an ISSN number.

You can request an ISBN number at isbn@oszk.hu (in Hungarian).
You can submit your electronic books (works, documents) at regadmin@oszk.hu (in Hungarian).

Adamo Books seeks already published and previously unpublished short stories, novels and other written content from authors and receives manuscripts in any genres. We generally do not proofread new manuscripts (we don't have an editorial staff) but we strongly recommend authors to have it done by professionals before submitting their works.

We favour signing exclusive electronic distribution contracts but these contracts do not prevent authors from publishing their works on paper (yes, they can retain the print rights). An exclusive distribution contract means that your works must not be available for sale anywhere else on the internet for the duration of the contract. Authors must own the rights to their titles and submit them in the file formats .doc or .pdf. Submitted and accepted materials will be sold as PDFs without DRM. Adamo Books sets the price in collaboration with authors. (Prices include VAT) Royalties are paid on a quarterly basis and authors are notified of sales on a subpage created for authors/publishers to track download data.
